Description

Entirely made with graphite and colored pencils, the Porlwi bespoke panoramic wallpaper represents a district of the capital of Mauritius.

An extreme softness and tranquility emanates from this wall mural that shows Port Louis emptied of its inhabitants, as if frozen for a moment. Time also to admire the mix of architectural styles that reflects the melting pot of Mauritius. Thus, the stalls, which have found their place in colonial-style houses, rub shoulders with skyscrapers and the shopping centre recognizable by its large tower.

And the streets, typical of Port Louis, have retained their cobblestones that date back to French governance. The flags are a reminder of  the very frequent festivities on the island. 

The finesse of the drawing and the pencil strokes also sublimates the alliance between the city and nature, symbolized by the mountain that can be seen in the background.
